Motse Mohlapo is a Group Executive and Economist at Veltrix Group, specialising in resources, commodities, critical minerals, international trade and investment strategy across African markets.

His work focuses on connecting Africa’s natural resource opportunities with global capital and international markets, with expertise spanning strategic partnerships, investment structuring, trade finance, capital mobilisation, project bankability and resource supply chains.

Motse brings an interdisciplinary perspective shaped by economics, commercial strategy, leadership and legal studies. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics, has undertaken executive leadership development programmes at Stellenbosch Business School, and is currently pursuing an LLB degree.

He is passionate about African industrialisation, local beneficiation, responsible investment and strengthening Africa’s position in global critical-mineral supply chains. His work is centred on building strategic partnerships that unlock investment, strengthen value chains and transform Africa’s natural resources into sustainable long-term economic value.
