Keith Nare is a Zimbabwean mining specialist and the Research Director at the Africa Gold Council, where he advances strategic market intelligence and evidence-based initiatives to foster transparent, sustainable gold market ecosystems across the continent. With over 12 years of international consultancy experience across Guinea, South Africa, Canada, Australia, and the UK, he also serves as Managing Director of Digging Deep - Mining Equipment & Spares.  A committed advocate for continental dialogue, Keith is a 2025 alumnus of the Enterprise Africa Network Fellowship at the African Union Commission and represented African youth in mining at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa's (UNECA) Africa Critical Minerals Forum in 2026. His contributions to governance and resource stewardship earned him distinction as one of 18 African Leaders in Mining through the University of Cape Town’s Leaders in Extractives and African Development (LEAD) 2026 cohort, he recently completed the Mine of the Future Academy: Leadership in Climate-Smart Mining developed by the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI), the Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI) at the University of Queensland, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
