Eng. Joseph Kitilit is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Mining Corporation (NAMICO), Kenya’s investment arm in the mining sector mandated to promote responsible mineral development, strategic investments, and value addition within the country’s mineral value chain.

He is a seasoned engineer and mining sector leader with extensive experience in mineral resource development, project management, and public sector leadership. Eng. Kitilit plays a central role in advancing Kenya’s mining sector through strategic partnerships, investment promotion, and implementation of policies that support sustainable and responsible mining practices.

Under his leadership, NAMICO continues to strengthen Kenya’s mineral development agenda by facilitating joint ventures, promoting mineral beneficiation, supporting investor engagement, and ensuring that mineral resources contribute meaningfully to national economic growth and community development.
