As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Buenassa, Mr. Eddy Kioni is a distinguished business leader with more than two decades of experience spanning the private and public sectors across Europe and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). With a career rooted in strategic leadership, industrial project development and investment facilitation, Mr. Eddy Kioni has established a strong reputation for advancing transformative initiatives in the energy, infrastructure and extractive industries. Throughout a career defined by cross-sector collaboration and high-level stakeholder engagement, Mr. Eddy Kioni has successfully led complex projects, structured strategic investments and fostered impactful public-private partnerships that contribute to sustainable economic development across Africa. Recognised for a forward-looking leadership approach and a deep understanding of the continent’s industrial and mining landscape, Mr. Eddy Kioni continues to play an influential role in shaping investment and development opportunities within the region.

Prior to founding Buenassa, Mr. Eddy Kioni served as Chief Executive Officer of Sud South in Kolwezi, Katanga. Earlier, Mr. Eddy Kioni worked as Strategy Advisor for Business Structuring and Investment Deployment at NTLX Group (Pty) Ltd in South Africa. From 2012 to 2020, Mr. Eddy Kioni held the role of Executive Director and Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Régie des Voies Aériennes S.A. in Kinshasa. In parallel, Mr. Eddy Kioni served as Non-Executive Director of Société Nationale d’Électricité (SNEL), the DRC’s national electricity company. Earlier in his career, Mr. Eddy Kioni coordinated the Government’s Economic and Technical Commission within the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the DRC.

Mr. Eddy Kioni holds a European Master’s degree in Multimedia Project Management with a focus on Political Science and Government from ICHEC Brussels Management School, as well as a Master’s degree in Political Science and Administration from Université Libre de Bruxelles. He also completed undergraduate studies in Political Science and Government at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz in Germany. Combining academic excellence with extensive executive experience, Mr. Eddy Kioni brings expertise in corporate strategy, business development, operational management, investment structuring and public-private partnerships. Through Buenassa and previous leadership roles, Mr. Eddy Kioni remains committed to promoting industrial growth, strengthening investment ecosystems and supporting sustainable infrastructure and resource development initiatives that contribute to Africa’s long-term economic transformation.
