Charles is an accomplished finance professional with more than 14 years of experience in business planning, technical accounting, financial reporting, and business optimization, particularly within the mining industry. He currently serves as Senior Manager – Finance at Zijin Golden Ridge Limited, Akyem Gold Mine in Ghana, where he oversees the Mine’s financial management operations. Before joining Zijin Mining Group, he worked with AngloGold Ashanti where he achieved great success at their Iduapriem Mine in Ghana as the Chief Accountant. His areas of expertise include technical accounting, business planning and analysis, project and mining exploration accounting, tax accounting, and business performance management. A key focus of his role is the implementation of robust financial controls, compliance with statutory and reporting standards, and the optimization of systems to enhance operational efficiency. He is a Chartered Member of the Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Australia, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) United Kingdom, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA), Ghana.
