Ahmed Bello-Maccido is currently an Associate, Metals & Mining at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), where his role entails deal screening, financial analysis, research, and strategy development to support the origination, structuring, and execution of investments in mining projects across Africa.  

He was previously a Senior Analyst, Natural Resources at AFC, executing over US$300 million worth of oil and gas transactions, ranging from reserves-based lending, pre-export finance and acquisition financings across Sub-Saharan Africa.

With over 8 years’ experience in financial services focused on emerging and frontier markets, his previous roles include Corporate & Investment Banking, Wealth Management, and Investment Research.  

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business & Management, and a Master’s degree in Strategy & International Business, both from Aston Business School, United Kingdom.
